SANTA MONICA, Calif., March 31 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Activision Publishing, Inc.'s (NASDAQ:ATVI) April lineup of downloadable songs is sure to satisfy with huge rock bands and popular tracks for Guitar Hero® 5 and Band Hero(TM) players this month. With the addition of tracks from Lynyrd Skynyrd, Fall Out Boy, Blur, The All-American Rejects, Saving Abel, Phoenix and Black Sabbath, the Guitar Hero music library continues to evolve and expand, providing hours of entertainment for fans of all music genres.

Southern rock band Lynyrd Skynyrd kicks off the month of downloadable music on April 1, with a three song track pack featuring the rock anthem that first brought the band national attention, "Free bird." In addition, gamers will also get the popular singles "Simple Man" and "Gimme Three Steps" off Lynyrd Skynyrd's 1973 debut album.

On April 8, gamers can let the good times roll with the Fall Out Boy Track Pack, which contains three hits from their certified-platinum album Infinity on High. "Thnks fr th Mmrs," "This Ain't a Scene, It's an Arms Race" and "The Take Over, The Breaks Over" will have players rocking out to the creative lyrics and catchy tunes that helped garner the band mainstream success.

Activision Publishing, Inc. has announced that Cabela's Monster Buck Hunter is available for Wii.

In Cabela's Monster Buck Hunter, you can test your shooting skills in 12 expansive shooting galleries where you can bag loads of big game, small critters and flying birds with an ample supply of ammunition for non-stop hunting action. Take the TOP SHOT challenge with friends and family in 2- to 4-person turn based multiplayer games and use up to seven different power-ups to gain the advantage. The game also features 96 heart pounding missions that start you at the most critical part of the hunt. Your journeys will take you across 24 states and provinces from the bone chilling Yukon to the scorching Sonoran Desert. Hunt 36 species of trophy game including North America's most sought after Trophy Deer species.

The TOP SHOT hunting peripheral for Wii ups the action even further. Designed by Activision in collaboration with Cabela's, this Nintendo approved peripheral will bring a smile to any hunter. Just load the Wii Remote and Nunchuk and you're ready for adrenaline pumping, arcade style hunting action!

Griffin International, Psyclone Games, XS Games, and  Bass Pro Shops,have announced that Bass Pro Shops: The Hunt for Wii, Xbox 360 and PC is slated for release during the first week of June 2010.

In Bass Pro Shops: The Hunt, players will explore ten diverse North American hunting locations. Each map features unique animals, dangerous animal encounters, randomized animal spawn points and mini-games. Players will be able to take down their prey using a variety of different firearms including bolt-action rifles, shotguns, pistols, and bows. There are 24 animals in Bass Pro Shops: The Hunt including deer, moose, alligators, bears, raccoons and more. As they stalk their prey, players use Bass Pro Shops gear and equipment such as GPS, calls, scents and more.
