THQ Inc. has announced the uDraw GameTablet accessory for Wii.
About uDraw GameTablet The uDraw GameTablet is a first-of-its-kind, innovative new hardware device that provides an entirely new and entertaining way for kids and families to play on Wii. Scheduled to be available in the U.S. this holiday season, the uDraw GameTablet combines a deep and immersive level of creative freedom with a line of video games developed to expand gameplay and expression. The device is a small white handheld tablet with a 4” x 6” drawing space and detachable, pressure-sensitive stylus designed to offer more subtle control and precision than available on the traditional Wii Remote™. The Wii Remote docks discretely within the uDraw GameTablet, allowing the device to draw power directly from the Wii Remote. A convenient storage area hides the Wii Remote wrist strap and stylus when not in use. The uDraw GameTablet also features tilt-and-roll movement options, allowing players to interact and control in-game characters by moving and directing them through game levels. Additionally, SD-card support enables players to save and print their artwork and other uDraw creations. About uDraw Studio Packaged with the uDraw GameTablet, uDraw Studio was designed as a showcase piece for the capabilities of the device and features a robust set of art creation modes and user-friendly tools that help players create anything from simple doodles to intricate masterpieces that can be saved and shared. About Pictionary™ Pictionary™, the game of quick sketches and crazy guesses, has innovative new functionality and game modes for the whole family! In addition to great classic Pictionary™ play, new features include rotating canvases, one-line challenges and other fun gameplay modes in a lively game show setting. About Dood’s Big Adventure In Dood’s Big Adventure, players will navigate their customizable Dood through 60 levels across four gameplay modes in a world where coloring books come to life and user-created doodles, characters and background art populates the in-game world. The uDraw GameTablet is slated for release for the Holidays 2010 and will come bundled with uDraw Studio for an SRP of $69.99. Pictionary and Dood's Big Adveture are a slated for release at the same time and will have an SRP of $29.99 each. |

NINTENDO REFRESHES THE DOG DAYS OF SUMMER WITH UPCOMING COOL GAMESDates Announced for New Kirby, Donkey Kong and Pokémon Games REDMOND, Wash., Aug. 17, 2010 - The summer is heating up, which means it's a great time for Nintendo to announce some of the cool games it will have available in the coming months for its Wii™ home console and portable Nintendo DS™ family of systems.
"Everyone wants fun, engaging experiences, and they want great value," said Cammie Dunaway, Nintendo of America's executive vice president of Sales & Marketing. "Nintendo games give you both. And no matter what your taste, you'll find exclusive experiences that just aren't available anywhere else."
Some upcoming Wii games include Metroid™: Other M on Aug. 31, Samurai Warriors™ 3 on Sept. 27, Wii Party™ on Oct. 3, Kirby's Epic Yarn™ on Oct. 17, PokéPark™ Wii: Pikachu's Adventure on Nov. 1, FlingSmash™ on Nov. 7 and Donkey Kong Country™ Returns on Nov. 21. Some marquee third-party games include New Carnival Games® from 2K Play on Sept. 21, NBA JAM from EA Sports™ on Oct. 5, Just Dance® 2 from Ubisoft® on Oct. 12, GoldenEye 007™ from Activision Publishing, Inc. in November, Sonic Colors™ from SEGA on Nov. 16 and Disney Epic Mickey from Disney Interactive Studios this holiday season.
For the Nintendo DS family of systems, upcoming games include Professor Layton and the Unwound Future™ on Sept. 12, Pokémon Ranger™: Guardian Signs on Oct. 4, Art Academy™ on Oct. 25 and Mario vs. Donkey Kong™: Mini-Land Mayhem! on Nov. 14. You'll run, jump and flip over obstacles, but you also may have to put on your thinking cap to figure out how to complete some of the levels. There are two primary mechanics in the game: the Reflection Mechanic and Shadow Mechanic. In both, you control two characters - one on each screen - at the same time. If you jump, both characters will jump; if you run, both characters will run. The only way to beat the game is to use the two screens together. |
